I urge you to vote no on Stop Terror-Financing and Tax Penalities on American Hostages Act. This dangerous bill gives unilateral power to the administration to label any nonprofit as terrorist supporting and shut them down without due process. This could easily be applied to any 501 organization such as schools, museums, and libraries. Many vital nonprofits cannot survive being taxed. This is not justice. It is weaponization of government to go after important organizations people depend on. So, I am calling upon my representative to defend civil rights organizations and not let the proposal become law.
