Stop the Attacks on Federal Employees and Government Agencies
To: Sen. Schmitt, Sen. Hawley
From: A verified voter in Kansas City, MO
November 4
am writing to express my absolute outrage over this administration’s continued assault on our federal workforce and the government agencies responsible for serving the American people. The latest findings reported by Government Executive should be a wake up call. These workforce cuts are not making government more efficient. They are making it less effective, less accessible, and less capable of serving the American people.
Under the direction of Russell Vought, Scott Kupor, and this administration, federal employees have endured relentless attacks, intimidation, workforce reductions, instability, and an environment of fear and uncertainty. These are human beings who dedicated their careers to public service. They have families, financial obligations, and lives outside their jobs. They deserve dignity and respect, not to be treated as disposable pieces in someone’s political agenda.
The consequences are becoming increasingly obvious. Public satisfaction with federal services has declined. Customer service, efficiency, and access to information have suffered. This is what happens when you dismantle agencies, eliminate experienced employees, and expect the remaining workforce to accomplish more with fewer resources.
I am tired of watching elected officials remain silent while this administration systematically undermines the institutions that keep our country functioning. Where is the accountability? Where is the congressional oversight? When will you stand up for the American people instead of blindly following one man’s agenda?
The midterm elections should have made something very clear. Your constituents are paying attention. People are tired of watching their government be dismantled while elected representatives prioritize political loyalty over their responsibility to the people they represent.
You have a choice. You can continue bowing to this administration, or you can finally stand up for your constituents, federal employees, and the integrity of our government.
Make no mistake, your constituents will remember which choice you made when it is time to vote again. Your political career should never be more important than your responsibility to the American people.
Enough is enough. Federal employees are human beings, public service matters, and this continued destruction of our government is unacceptable.
I expect more from my elected representative. It is time to start acting like one.
