WHERE IS TRUMP & THE GOP CONGRESS TRYING TO TAKE AMERICA?

To: Sen. Cruz, Rep. Pfluger, Sen. Cornyn

November 7

A picture really is worth a 1000 words. Take yesterday’s shot from the Oval Office as a visitor suffers a medical episode. We’ve all seen it. And the consensus is that it is a perfect metaphor for America under Trump. As other attendees rush to the man’s aid, the president stands at the Resolute Desk with a 1000-mile stare, appearing to be unaware, or more likely, unconcerned about the man’s welfare. The image nails it. No caption necessary. Other bits in the news… Dr. Oz on Thursday said that the new weight loss drug pricing deal announced by Trump could cause Americans to lose 135 million pounds by next year's midterm elections. He also noted: “We’ve dropped [the price of] infertility drugs to make lots of Trump babies, I’m hoping by the midterms.” WTF. Mid-terms? Is there any coherence left in charge? A US District Court Judge in Rhode Island found the administration had ignored his order to pay SNAP benefits this week. He accused the administration of withholding SNAP benefits “for political reasons” and called out Trump’s post saying SNAP would be funded only after the shutdown ends as “an intent to defy the court order.” McConnell ordered the administration to make full SNAP payments to the states by today. The Trump administration immediately appealed. Not one single sh*t given. Trump’s immigration policies were in court in Chicago, where a US District Court Judge issued a broad injunction to stop federal agents’ undisciplined use of tear gas, pepper balls, and other “less-lethal” crowd control measures. As reported, the judge found that federal agents had violated protesters’ First Amendment rights to free speech and free assembly while preventing the free exercise of religion by using force against clergy members. She repeatedly called out federal agents for lying. Lastly, a jury acquitted the guy charged with a misdemeanor for throwing a salami submarine sandwich “at point blank range” at a federal agent. A grand jury had refused to indict him on felony charges. This case made the administration seem like a joke as a federal agent wearing a bulletproof vest tried to claim a sandwich that remained intact in its wrapper “exploded” against his chest. “He beat the wrap,” one poster wrote. The Trump administration prosecuting this case while dismissing others, like border czar Tom Homan accepting $50,000 in a brown paper bag as payola, is another perfect metaphor. The DOJ has lost the public along with their credibility. The GOP best get busy with losing weight and making babies because that seems to be the only strategy for the 2026 mid-terms. LOL but it’s not especially funny.
