I am writing with deep alarm and vehement opposition to the Justice Department’s newly announced $1.8 billion “Anti-Weaponization Fund.” The idea that taxpayer dollars could be used to compensate political allies of a former president is outrageous, dangerous, and completely unacceptable in a functioning democracy. This appears to be a blatant abuse of government power that undermines public trust in the justice system and weaponizes federal resources for political loyalty.
If Congress does not act immediately, this will set a terrifying precedent: future administrations could openly direct public money toward their own supporters and allies under the guise of political grievance. Regardless of party affiliation, Americans should be horrified by this. I urge you to publicly condemn this fund, demand full transparency, and pursue aggressive congressional oversight before irreversible damage is done to the integrity of our institutions
