I want to know why you are publicly attacking and disparaging Liz Oyer after she testified before Congress. Rather than engaging seriously with her testimony and the issues she raised, you have chosen to attack her character and use inflammatory rhetoric to rage bait your constituents, including those of us who are paying attention and know the facts. Your behavior is a glaring example of failed leadership. A member of Congress should be willing to listen to testimony, confront uncomfortable facts, and exercise independent judgment. Instead, you seem far more interested in performing for Donald Trump and proving your loyalty to a man whose increasingly authoritarian behavior should concern every elected official who claims to value the Constitution and the rule of law. You can continue this political dance if you choose. You can continue attacking people who speak out, dismissing testimony you do not want to hear, and feeding your constituents inflammatory talking points. But eventually, you will have to answer for the choices you are making. Donald Trump is not going to guarantee that you keep your seat in Congress. Blind loyalty to him will not protect your reputation or your legacy. When your time in office is over, you will still have to live with the character and moral record you created while you had the power to do something meaningful. I sincerely hope you think about what you are saying and doing before you continue down this path. Your constituents are watching. We see the difference between genuine leadership and political performance, and we will remember it when it is time to vote. You were elected to represent us, not to rage bait us, insult people for telling Congress what they know, or demonstrate your loyalty to one man. Do better.
