Stand with Your Fellow Human; No to ICE

To: Sen. Corson, Rep. Stogsdill, Gov. Kelly

From: A constituent in Prairie Village, KS

January 30

Stand with your peers and say no to ICE enforcement that violates constitutional rights. Kansas House Democrats have introduced legislation requiring ICE agents operating in Kansas to clearly identify themselves, forego warrantless raids, and respect the same standards of conduct that apply to state law enforcement—because too many residents feel unsafe and fear abuses of power. ICE should not operate without transparency, masks, door-to-door raids, or unchecked authority that chills basic civil liberties. When enforcement disregards Fourth Amendment protections and community trust, it harms families, disrupts lives, and undermines the rule of law. I urge you to oppose federal policies and funding that enable intrusive ICE operations and to support measures at the national level that protect constitutional rights, require clear identification and accountability for agents, and ensure immigration enforcement respects due process. Stand up for human rights, for community safety, and for the dignity of every resident—no enforcement without oversight, transparency, or respect for fundamental freedoms.
