I am asking for a clear explanation of how your vote to rescind funding from these programs aligns with your stated values of supporting families, strengthening the workforce, and promoting economic stability. Cuts to initiatives such as RxKids, child sexual abuse counseling, children’s cancer support services, and behavioral-health resources directly affect the well-being of families in your district. Additionally, I am deeply concerned about the decision to eliminate support for Hemlock Semiconductor—one of our region’s major employers and an anchor for long-term economic health. I respectfully request that you outline the rationale behind these decisions and how you believe these cuts will serve the residents, workers, and families you represent.
