An Open Letter

To: Sen. Fetterman, Sen. McCormick, Rep. Fitzpatrick

From: A verified voter in Hatboro, PA

March 13

I am writing to urge you not to vote on any spending bill that proposes cuts to programs such as Medicare and Medicaid while giving more tax cuts to the rich. Medicare and Medicaid are vital to many Americans and cannot be cut, it would simply be unacceptable. I urge you not to cooperate on a spending bill just to delay the March 14th deadline. Trump’s recent actions have shown he has no intention on allowing congress to spend the budgeted funds the way that they approved, so congress should not vote to approve a budget until they are 100% certain this insane overreach by the executive branch will end and federal funding freezes will be lifted. Congress just act to take back the power of the purse by any means necessary.
