Condemn Trump's statements from this week's Oval Office press interaction — publicly and without delay. He admitted, on camera, that he deliberately accepted a stock market crash and 4.2% inflation — a three-year high — as calculated costs of launching a military attack on Iran. He said, "I love the inflation." That is not a president managing difficult trade-offs. That is a president bragging about inflicting economic pain on American families.
This wasn't a slip. Trump described a covert operation destroying 22 Iranian ships, acknowledged expert predictions of a 25% market drop, and said it was "worth it." He met with Scott Bessent, Howard Lutnick, Pete Hegseth, and Todd Blanche before the February 28 attack. These decisions were made deliberately, and now he's celebrating the fallout. Every family paying more for groceries and watching their retirement savings shrink deserves a representative who will stand up and call this what it is.
