I'm greatly concerned about the US's continued support of Israel's activities. While I certainly understand and respect their position as an important ally in the Middle East, they have gotten far too comfortable. They have benefitted from the US's support and protection only to become aggressors with no regard to the humanity of others.
The fact that they are creating traps that have killed children is reprehensible. If murdering children is something you're concerned about, your primary focus needs to be on Israel killing Lebanese and Palestinian children, not women's bodies.
It is time to hold Israel accountable. We do not need to be funding their holy wars. We do not need to give them weapons to kill civilians.
As a super power with more wealth and gun power than any other country on the planet, we have an ethical obligation to defend the disenfranchised and down trodden. I understand that Israel faced an egregious attack, but the wanton slaughter of citizens who were not involved is not self defense. It is genocide.
I am pleading with you to hold them accountable. If the USA wants to be a beacon of freedom and democracy, we cannot continue to support genocide.
