I'm deeply concerned about the possibility that extreme radical members of the GOP will try to disrupt a peaceful transfer of power. As I'm sure you and your staff know, rolling stone magazine did a piece on the 70 GOP election deniers who are now holding state office and could try to block correct certification of democratic wins and electoral college votes. Tragically we know now too that there is a significant risk that Trump could seek to, and succeed at, drumming up violence. What can you do in advance to protect our democracy? I hope you and others in the senate are having study groups and advice on these issues. Please reply to ensure me that you and others are aware of these issues and have contingency plans under discussion.
