I write to you to raise the alarm about a dangerous movement that seeks to dismantle American democracy and replace it with a privatized, corporate monarchy. A disturbing vision is being circulated through “Friends of Doge” a group promoting the ideas laid out on websites like Dogezone.org. At the heart of this dystopian vision is the radical ideology of individuals like Curtis Yarvin. Yarvin has long advocated for the end of democratic governance and its replacement with a monarchy or “CEO-style” government, run like a private corporation. He envisions a system where sovereignty belongs not to the people, but to an all-powerful ruler or tech-savvy elite. Yarvin’s views are not just fringe ramblings anymore. These ideas are carried about by Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, J D Vance and others of their ilk who have positions all over the administration. The plan has been slowly coming into fruition since the 2010 Supreme Court decision case Citizen’s United that made it easier for corporations to funnel money into campaigns but is now moving at breakneck speed. DOGE operatives are purposely breaking the government and replacing functions with private contractors. They broke into government systems unimpeded and now have access to critical information and the national security infrastructures. They are standing up against universities and the media. They are declaring ‘national emergencies’ to accomplish their goals. DOGE is a coordinated attack on democracy itself and it will live on even if they claim Musk is no longer in charge. They are establishing an autocracy so they no longer have to be accountable to electors and can make any sweeping changes they want. The plans call for the total elimination of public education, the destruction of federal and mainstream employment, and the replacement of regulations and laws with a brutal, free-for-all market system. They explicitly want to roll society back to the 1920s and 30s an era defined by unchecked greed, worker exploitation, and social collapse. These people do not care if millions die in the process. This cannot be tolerated. These aren’t just abstract ideas; they are blueprints for a new kind of tyranny where power is unaccountable, law is optional, and survival depends on your wealth. Once it takes hold, there will be no going back. Congress must act immediately. You must investigate and expose this threat to our democracy. You must stand firmly against anyone who seeks to replace elected governance with private rule. You must protect our institutions from being dismantled. This is a moment of reckoning. Will you defend the republic, or will you allow it to be bought, hollowed out, and handed over to self-appointed monarchs? History is watching. Do your duty.
