MAKE SOME REAL EFFORT TO CLEAR UP THE EPSTEIN SCANDAL

To: Sen. Cornyn, Sen. Cruz, Rep. Pfluger

From: A verified voter in Mason, TX

July 30

Reading more and more spin about the Epstein drama finally dying down. But the only sources for this analysis thus far seem to be the White House and WaPo. One is politically suspect. The other is financially suspect. Neither is completely credible on this issue. Remember Clinton/Lewinsky? I bet Pres. Clinton wished more than once that the issue would just go away. And his people certainly pushed the narrative of ‘nothing to see here.’ But we all know it did not go away. Because everyone regardless of politics can latch onto a sex scandal. And no one will be on the side of a predator of children. Clinton/Lewinsky was tame compared to a sex scandal involving a pedophile and young girls. Involving rape. Abuse. Selling girls to wealthy sex buyers. Actual grooming of children, and human trafficking, both particular focuses of your party. Now you have an opportunity to potentially expose the people who perpetuated Epstein, Maxwell, and their crimes. To punish people who should rightfully be punished. But you have to actually try. You can follow the money. You can demand release of the voluminous files already in DOJ possession. Victims names can redacted. Epstein’s clients should not be. A friend recently proposed a new bumper sticker: ‘GOP: Guardians of Pedophiles’ I think it could be more wide-ranging: ‘GOP: Guardians of Predators’ You already allowed one to become president. Twice. Further action to the good is on you. Prove the cynics wrong. Bad actors deserve consequences. The victims deserve justice. And constituents deserve what they were promised.
