Oppose House Resolution 7

To: Sen. Moran, Sen. Marshall

From: A constituent in Pittsburg, KS

January 11

I am writing to urge you to oppose House Resolution 7 (H.Res.7). While I strongly support access to high-quality healthcare for all, I am deeply concerned about the implications of this resolution. Women's healthcare should stand independently and not be connected to or reliant on the healthcare framework designed primarily for men. This resolution risks undermining the unique and essential healthcare needs of women by failing to prioritize comprehensive, inclusive, and equitable care tailored specifically for them. Women face distinct health challenges that require individualized attention and resources—addressing these cannot and should not be an afterthought in a broader healthcare system. I believe that supporting this resolution could inadvertently perpetuate inequality in access to necessary care for women of all ages. We must work toward ensuring that women's health is a central focus in our healthcare policies, not a secondary concern linked to other agendas. Please prioritize the voices of your constituents who value fair and inclusive healthcare policies. I ask you to oppose H.Res.7 and instead champion legislation that empowers and supports women’s health and well-being. Thank you for your time and for your service to our community. I hope you will take my concerns into serious consideration as this resolution progresses.
