Thank you, Mr. Biden.

Mr. Biden,
I just wanted to say that I think that you will be remembered as one of the greatest – and goodest – Presidents of our nation's entire history. Your character is an inspiration for me and I will carry your example in my heart for the rest of my life.
I first knew of you from the 2008 campaign. I was less than fifteen years old at the time. The Obama-Biden administration established, in my head, what an executive administration should be. It was matched, and exceeded in countless ways, by the Biden-Harris administration. Being the common denominator, I can only conclude that you have been instrumental in the shaping of that understanding.
I keep a list of your accomplishments from just these most-recent 3.5 years. I also have a list of the qualities which I admire about you. Both lists are excessively long. Your legacy is going to be, to paraphrase someone, a big effing deal. And it deserves to be.
Thank you.
Thank you for your years of service. Thank you for your hard days of service. Thank you for your long nights of service.
The U.S., and the world, are better for your leadership.
I am not going to have very many more opportunities to say thank you, so I wanted to make sure to do so in the small hope that this letter will reach you.
History will remember you and smile kindly upon you.
For holding our Republic together, for bringing us into a better world, and for defining – at least for one boy from Ohio – the very substance of public service: thank you ten thousand times over, Mr. Biden, my President.
