Today we have learned from President Trump and Secretary Hegseth that the US military has a new, narrowed mission: war, and war only. And that war is being declared on American cities, one by one. Trump called it a "war from within." That's another way of saying "treason." This morning I am physically ill that you have no interest in our survival as individuals or as a country. You keep busy with your pretense of business as usual when Trump has made very clear what "business as usual" actually means. I know there is no point in appealing to conscience when the three of you can abandon it at will. I've tried to keep my feedback issue oriented. But today I am grieved, frightened and physically ill at what is to come, solely because you would not lift a finger to stop it. Government of the people, by the people, and for the people may not have perished from the earth, but you won't find it here in Trump's America. A bloody uprising is coming, and the stain is on your hands.
