RFK Jr’s comments about autistic children and individuals are horrifying. They would be laughable if they weren’t so dangerous.
Now I hear he’s wanting to put together a database of autistic people to track them?
The idea chills me to the bone.
I know and love many people who are autistic— both friends, and my own family members. The notion of them being on some list that could be used to further ostracize them or worse, is a nightmare.
Autistic people are not monsters. They are not a disease that needs cure or eradication. Let me assure you that autistic people indeed love, form close bonds, work, pay taxes, etc. They are normal human beings whose brains function differently, often in beautiful ways.
Please protect autistic folks. Do not let RFK Jr, or anyone in this administration, gather their private medical information. It’s a huge violation of their personal privacy, let alone decency.
