Formal Demand for Impeachment – President Trump’s Unfit Conduct and War Crimes
To: Sen. Cruz, Sen. Cornyn, Rep. Roy
From: A constituent in Bandera, TX
April 8
I am writing to you today as a constituent who is absolutely disgusted by the recent actions and rhetoric of President Trump. The time for "monitoring the situation" is over; the time for impeachment is now.
Over the Easter weekend, the President of the United States used his public platform to issue a threat to "Open the fuckin' Strait" or face the "complete demolition" of Iranian civilization. This is not "tough talk"—it is a direct threat to commit mass-scale war crimes. By explicitly targeting power plants and bridges, the President is signaling an intent to murder civilians and destroy the infrastructure of an entire nation.
Furthermore, his use of the word "fuck" and other expletives in official public communication is a disgrace to the office he holds. If the President is a role model, what message are we sending to our children? He has effectively told the youth of this country that it is acceptable to use vulgarity and threaten to kill people whenever they feel like it.
The President’s behavior is unhinged, juvenile, and a threat to global security. We cannot have a person in the White House who treats the laws of armed conflict like a joke and uses the vocabulary of a common thug while holding the nuclear codes.
I demand that you immediately initiate impeachment proceedings to remove this man from office before his rhetoric turns into a global catastrophe.
