We are insisting that House Democrats unite and commit to only defunding DHS. The truth is that ICE is so broken, so corrupt, that it must be disbanded and a new agency must be created to replace it. It must be defunded, its ranks cleared of officers caught on tape beating, shooting, tear-gassing, punching, and mocking Americans who are going about their daily lives or exercising their First Amendment rights. The reign of terror is un-American, unconstitutional, and causing generations of trauma. We expect you all to back a shutdown fight until we defund DHS, impeach and remove Kristi Noem, and remove/fire all ICE officers and start over.
