instruct the Archivist to publish the ERA!
To: Pres. Biden

The Equal Rights Amendment has satisfied all requirements for ratification and should be added to the U.S. Constitution. Despite completing the process mandated by Article V, the Archivist of the United States has not taken the final ministerial step of officially certifying and publishing the ERA in the Federal Register as the 28th Amendment. Leading constitutional scholars agree that the procedural requirements have been met. To uphold democracy and the will of the people as expressed through the state ratification process, the Archivist must be instructed to carry out the official publication and certification without further delay. Continued inaction undermines the Amendment's legitimacy and the principles of equality enshrined within it. As the head of the executive branch tasked with ensuring faithful execution of the laws, you have the authority to direct the Archivist to perform this constitutional duty. Respect for the democratic process and the letter of the law demands that you exercise this authority promptly to finally enshrine the Equal Rights Amendment in the Constitution after nearly a century of struggle. The American people have made their voice heard - it is time for the Amendment to take its rightful place.
