It is good that the administration is asking Medicaid home health providers to report how their funds are being spent, and requiring them to spend 80% of the federal dollars they receive on workers’ salaries rather than administrative overhead. But that doesn’t address the issue of who gets the services. As a board member of a non-profit that supports people with quadriplegia, I have become aware of the discrimination they face because their conditions don’t improve! Please look at ways to regulate this industry so that it really allows handicapped people to stay in their homes and communities.
