Today, Elon Musk and his unqualified squad have taken over NOAA and the Department of Labor, and are using AI to overwrite significant portions of crucial government computer systems. This is absolutely unacceptable, and this coup must not be allowed to continue. There is absolutely zero need for a foreign national without proper clearance to have unfettered access to sensitive information and to begin overwriting existing systems without 1) understanding what they do and how they work and 2) to do so with AI technology that is unproven and full of bugs, which could cause catastrophic failures of those systems, and harm the entire country's population, and even people around the world (as the destruction of USAID is already doing). It is time to stand against fascism, as our parents and grandparents did just around 80 years ago - to stand by, or to make only a cursory effort, dishonors their sacrifice and throws away the safer world they worked hard to secure.
