You’re a brilliant person with a strong legal mind and no doubt your educational background has allowed you to understand that Zionism is not synonymous with Judaism and that Near East history shows Israel to be a colonialist project of occupation and eradication of indigenous persons, quite similar to European conquest of the Americas. Repeating naive talking points about nuclear-armed Israel having a right to defend itself against people it’s held in apartheid conditions is nonsense. It is far past time to put a stop to this, as a political liability if you’re not going to treat it as a human rights crisis and end it for moral and ethical reasons.
