We are on the eve of once again springing forward and I write to remind you that the people of Oregon chose to stop participating in this pointless ritual.
The time changes are disruptive and damaging to our health. It is time you make good on your promises and cease the annual daylight savings time adjustment. The days are getting longer naturally. We do not need to make this jump. It is antiquated and not beneficial.
My understanding is there was a stalemate between whether to stay on standard or daylight time, I recommend a compromise in the truest sense, a half hour shift to meet in the middle. Do right by your constituents and fulfill this promise. Show the people they can trust your word and that we as a state have autonomy.
