Demand an immediate investigation into the Justice Department's settlement agreement that permanently shields Donald Trump, his family, and his businesses from IRS audits and tax enforcement. A document signed by acting Attorney General Todd Blanche on May 19 declares the government "FOREVER BARRED" from prosecuting or pursuing any "examinations or similar or related reviews" of Trump's tax returns. No president has ever been granted this kind of blanket immunity from the tax enforcement that applies to every other American. This isn't just a sweetheart deal — it's a direct violation of the law prohibiting executive branch interference in IRS audits, as Sen. Ron Wyden has already stated publicly. The IRS has audited every sitting president automatically for decades. That tradition exists precisely to prevent the kind of self-dealing this settlement enables. The same $1.8 billion "Anti-Weaponization Fund" created by this deal could pay out to Jan. 6 rioters convicted of assaulting police — acting AG Blanche confirmed that anyone can apply. Even Senate Majority Leader Thune called the fund something he's "not a big fan" of. This settlement must be challenged and blocked. Use every legislative and oversight tool available to stop it.
