Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas.
Just a moment to recap recent events for you because I know you have had difficulty in the past keeping up with the adventures of your presidential candidate and his campaign (if that’s what you want to call it).
Jaw-dropping press event on Thursday. Of all the analysis out there, I have to think Maureen Dowd hits it out of the ballpark…
“Trump was like a blender going at full speed with the top off, goop splattering everywhere.”
Judging from the NPR follow-up with fact-checking you’d have to agree…
“A team of NPR reporters and editors reviewed the transcript of last Thursday's news conference and found at least 162 misstatements, exaggerations and outright lies in 64 minutes.”
Which also included the now infamously famous story about going down in a helicopter with Willie Brown. Nuff said.
Then his paranoid brain told him it’s be a good idea to attack one of his wealthiest, most generous patrons, Miriam Adelson by having an aide fire off a series of angry text messages to Mrs. Adelson in Mr. Trump's name complaining about people running Mrs. Adelson's super PAC, Preserve America, into which she's pouring millions to support Trump.
At an August 2 donor event he insisted on revisiting the "stop the steal" claims about 2020. And that, yes indeed, he had made the right decision by questioning Kamala Harris’ race.
While reporting has also documented him apparently calling her a bitch multiple times behind closed doors.
See foot, shoot it.
Great candidate you got there. He’s tainted the GOP gene pool for a looooonnnng time to come.
