Fayetteville Postal Delivery Times Concerning

To: Sen. Cotton, Sen. Boozman, Rep. Womack

From: A verified voter in Fayetteville, AR

June 16, 2024

I would like to revise and extend my remarks that I have previously wrote about concerning the Post Office. On June 12, 2024, a dear friend of mine who lives in Fayetteville, close to the new Police Headquarters, received a time sensitive letter from the city of Fayetteville Housing Authority. It is 2024. We are not in the horse and buggy era. Guess how long it took for that letter to go from downtown Fayetteville to the Asbell section of town? 6 days. How can citizens expect to pay bills on time, get time sensitive documents, letters, requests from our government agencies, election / voting ballots, and health home lab tests, etc if our postal service is causing delays. I do not blame the blue collar postal employees. But the fat cat white collar management MUST stop playing games. I wonder how many bad events and situations have occurred to individuals missing deadlines that the Postmaster General has caused with his "i don't care" attitude towards our mail. The PMG can bring change without causing people hardships. Please relay my thoughts to the PMG, and tell him we expect better customer service.
