Thank you for standing strong in the face of the absurd government shutdown. Thank you for bringing attention to the healthcare crisis that will get so much worse if the republicans are allowed to discontinue the federal tax credit for ACA. This is an important topic for my family. Our household will face steep premium increases (in addition to having to change insurance companies--again--because Anthem is leaving the Colorado marketplace). If the premiums for our family go up as predicted, they would amount to another mortgage and that will force us to make some hard decisions. Preserving the tax credit doesn't fix what's wrong with the healthcare system, but it does keep it from breaking even more. In addition to protecting healthcare, opposing the continuing resolution is important to me because it also takes a stand against this lawless administration. They are not allowed to withhold funds that have been appropriated by congress. They are not allowed to kill fishermen in boats. They are not allowed to harass and traumatize immigrants (and Americans). They aren't allowed to manipulate judges rulings to delay and obfuscate. They aren't allowed to send national guard troops to states that don't need or want that level of support. They aren't allowed to politicize agencies Americans rely on for safety and security (FBI, DOJ, HHS, etc). They aren't supposed to protect pedophiles with the force of the whole government. Do not be complicit! Stay strong!
