I am writing about a law that was passed in 2022, SB 54, the law that will require all single use packaging to be recyclable or compostable by 2032. I have read recently that the plastics lobby has started campaigning to get rid of this law. I want you to know that I’m disgusted by this and I expect you to stand up to these lobbyists who don’t care about pollution or its effects on the climate catastrophe. I do care and so do the people of California. Please go beyond just resisting their efforts and call out this ugly behavior of trying to undo what our representatives passed. Can you please write back and pledge to me that you will stand by SB 54, another of California's landmark environmental accomplishments?
