This could all end if some members of Congress would step up. As G. Elliott Morris of Strength in Numbers wrote: (They) could stop this at any time they wanted to. “All it would take to end the murder of American citizens by an untrained government goon squad is 16 Republicans in Congress voting with Dem[ocrat]s to defund ICE (or 23 to impeach and remove Trump—3 in House & 20 in Senate). That’s it. 23 Americans can vote for the public and end all of this.”. My message is simple: If you want to be reelected, now is the time to come out and stand against the destruction of Democracy. Murdering citizens in our streets and blatantly lying about it will not ever be seen as justice, law & order, or making Americans safer. Period. If you don’t come out about this now, you will be given no grace when you ask people to reelect you. This is a indellible stain on the current administration and you will carry that stain if you don’t speak out and vote to impeach Trump. That’s it. If our anxiety is causing us to losing sleep, this should keep you up at night as well. It’s the least you can do.
