Investigate DOGE's Damage to Social Security and Restore Services

To: Sen. Schiff, Sen. Padilla, Rep. McClintock

From: A constituent in El Dorado Hills, CA

March 12

Congress must immediately investigate the Department of Government Efficiency's infiltration of the Social Security Administration and reverse the damage done. The inspector general is now investigating a former DOGE official who allegedly took a flash drive containing sensitive beneficiary information to a new employer. This breach puts every American at risk. Remove all DOGE servers and former DOGE staffers embedded in Social Security. Issue new Social Security numbers to all Americans whose data has been compromised. DOGE was sold as a cost-saving measure, but it has cost us far more than it ever pretended to save. Restore the services that were gutted. Rehire the experienced staffers who were fired, reopen the offices that were closed, and staff the phone lines so Americans can actually get help when they need it. Right now, people who depend on Social Security cannot reach anyone. This is unacceptable. Launch a full congressional investigation into what DOGE did across all federal agencies and hold those responsible accountable. The American people deserve to know how their personal information was handled and what other damage was done in the name of efficiency.
