Reject HB4371 Children: citizens or undocumented should NEVER be interviewed or interrogated without a parent or legal guardian present. REGARDLESS of tattoos or suspicion of activities. ICE has gotten things so terribly wrong with adults (citizens and undocumented) and fail to follow any accepted protocol established and endorsed by state law enforcement; this is a tragedy waiting to happen. Do not inflict this diseased agency on children we should be protecting. State agencies SHOULD NEVER be subject to federal overreach that ICE is currently asserting. State agencies adhere to a higher standard, are better trained, and better equipped to work with our indigenous populations. Please reject this bill when it is presented to you.
