An Open Letter

Violence at any public event is unacceptable. It appears unclear exactly who the WHCD shooter was targeting. It appeared to be an odd scene with the FBI director standing outside, perhaps without security? Seems he would have been in a secure location monitoring the entire operation? More odd were the statements by the president soon after the event that “this” is why the ‘ballroom’ needs to be built. What? Would seem of higher priority is the safety of hundreds of people and concern over those who may have experienced trauma as a result of the event and evacuation. Perhaps until the secret service can secure a location if the president wants to attend an event with other people, the president should NOT attend events – it could be his presence RISKS the safety of others! Talking about a ballroom is ridiculous and insensitive and leads some to wonder if he took advantage of a serious situation to promote the stupid ballroom. These shooting ‘events’ occur too often. Maybe the focus should be on the secret service and why there have been 3 shootings near the president/while as candidate in the last couple years---- MAYBE you should hold hearings to figure out why they cannot secure a location that has been used MANY TIMES before for events that have been secure. I don’t know how any other world leaders feel safe coming to this country – perhaps you need to GET YOUR HOUSE IN ORDER! What the hell are you waiting for – people have died while being near the president – how many more do you need to see dead before you SOLVE the problem?
