Revoke unvetted DOGE staff access to safeguard national security

To: Sen. Murray, Rep. Larsen, Sen. Cantwell

From: A constituent in Everett, WA

February 9, 2025

The recent revelation that Elon Musk's DOGE staffers have been granted concerning levels of access to sensitive government systems is deeply alarming. Allowing unvetted individuals like Luke Farritor to access the Department of Energy's IT systems, which oversee the nation's nuclear stockpile, without proper background checks and clearances is an egregious breach of security protocols. We cannot allow Musk and his associates to manipulate critical infrastructure and classified information on a whim, potentially compromising national security for their own interests. Immediate action must be taken to revoke all access privileges granted to DOGE personnel across federal agencies until thorough vetting and clearance processes have been completed. The American people's trust in the government's ability to safeguard sensitive data and operations is at stake. Rigorous oversight is crucial to prevent any further exploitation of administrative vulnerabilities that could jeopardize the integrity of our national security apparatus.
