Take Immediate and Urgent Action on Trump's IRS Settlement

I just read the article about the IRS settlement involving Trump, which you can find here: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-irs-settlement-audit-immunity-b2980732.html I am outraged by this blatant criminal fraud and theft from the American taxpayer. Legal experts have pointed out that this agreement is an illegal act of self-dealing by the administration, and it is crucial that immediate investigations and prosecution commence on the legality of Trump's IRS settlement. This deal not only blocks federal tax investigations but also violates federal law that prohibits terminating IRS investigations. It is shocking that such actions, which would have brought down any other presidency, have not faced the utmost and severe consequences. Furthermore, it is essential to ensure accountability for IRS misconduct. The IRS has failed to safeguard sensitive taxpayer data, and this settlement may allow Trump to evade accountability. We must review the oversight of the IRS and executive actions, as the executive branch is prohibited from influencing IRS audits. The failure to report IRS requests can lead to prosecution, and we need to uphold these standards. Lastly, Trump's actions reflect a troubling pattern of corruption in tax policies that favor the wealthy. This is not just about one individual; it undermines the integrity of our tax system. Please take action to investigate and prosecute these issues thoroughly and ensure accountability for this misconduct. We cannot allow this situation to continue without serious, dramatic, and immediate repercussions.
