I’m writing as your constituent to demand that you take immediate and decisive action to stop H.R. 1526 — the so-called “No Rogue Rulings Act.” This bill is not just bad policy — it’s a blatant assault on judicial independence and a calculated step toward authoritarianism.
This legislation would bar federal courts from issuing nationwide injunctions — a move that would strip the judiciary of its essential power to check unconstitutional actions by the Executive Branch. This is not reform — it is a power grab, plain and simple. And it’s a clear violation of the Constitution you swore to uphold.
Let me be clear:
We see what’s happening. We will not forget who stood by and allowed it.
The people are watching. We are angry. And we are demanding more than statements — we are demanding action:
• Publicly denounce H.R. 1526 and any similar bills that limit the court’s power to restrain unlawful executive behavior.
• Refuse to support any legislation that shields the President or Executive Branch from legal accountability.
• Speak out loudly and publicly, because silence is complicity.
No president is above the law. No Congress has the right to place them there. If this bill moves forward, it will be one of the clearest signals yet that democracy is being dismantled in broad daylight.
This is your chance to prove you’re not part of that dismantling. I expect you to do the right thing — and I’ll be watching to see if you do.
