I am writing to demand that you take immediate action to hold Donald Trump accountable for his pattern of predatory comments about young women, including resurfaced audio from 2004 in which he made deeply disturbing remarks about then-18-year-old Lindsay Lohan.
In the 2004 Howard Stern Show appearance, Trump, who was 58 at the time, initiated a conversation about Lohan and stated he had seen a close-up of her chest. When the discussion turned to her troubled family situation, Trump said she was probably deeply troubled and therefore great in bed. He went on to generalize about deeply troubled women, claiming they are always the best in bed and unbelievable, though you would not want to be with them for the long term. This was not an isolated incident. In a 2003 appearance, Trump discussed Paris Hilton, whom he said he had known since she was 12 years old, and acknowledged he thought she was beautiful even at that age.
These comments reveal a pattern of sexualizing young women and exploiting vulnerability. Trump made these statements about an 18-year-old woman experiencing public family turmoil, demonstrating a predatory mindset that treats troubled young women as sexual objects. This behavior is incompatible with holding public office and represents a threat to the safety and dignity of women across this country.
Your silence on this matter is complicity. I am asking you to publicly condemn these comments and support any measures to hold Trump accountable for this pattern of behavior. The American people deserve leaders who do not prey on young women or celebrate their trauma as a sexual opportunity. I expect you to take a clear stand on this issue and will be watching your response closely.
