We need protections from AI companies NOW. Palantir, Anthropic, Meta, Chat GPT, all of them are using and abusing our data, and with little to no protections or repercussions. Large language models are stealing from authors. Rare and antique books, in the process of stealing their information to train their LLM, are being destroyed per Anthropic's online internal memos. These companies are engaging in copywrite infringement and piracy. They are breeching our privacy. They are paying to put large scale data centers in with little to no protections or even guidelines for regulations about noise or pollution. Communities are already unhappy with these developments. We need protections now. This administration has eroded so many of our environmental, legal, privacy protections. All in the name of greed. Don't let Big Tech take over.
