Please Explain Sec. of Defense Hegseth actions in the Caribbean

To: Rep. Carter, Sen. Cornyn, Sen. Cruz

From: A constituent in Leander, TX

November 29

I am writing in absolute outrage to demand immediate action regarding the disturbing allegations surrounding Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth’s conduct in the Caribbean. If there is any truth whatsoever to claims that he authorized or carried out lethal actions outside the law, then this is a national emergency—and Congress has no excuse for silence. The United States is a nation of laws. No official, no agency, and no branch of government has the authority to carry out killings without lawful process or oversight. If a Cabinet official believes he can operate with unchecked power—deciding who lives or dies without legal authority—that is not only unconstitutional, it is morally reprehensible and fundamentally anti-American. Congress must do its job. Investigate these allegations NOW. Drag every fact into the light. Subpoena every record. Demand testimony under oath. Show the American people that no individual in this country—no matter how powerful—gets to act as judge, jury, and executioner. Your oath is to the Constitution, not to any political figure. Prove it. This moment requires courage, transparency, and immediate congressional intervention. The country is watching to see whether you will enforce the rule of law or look the other way. Do your duty. Investigate. Hold wrongdoers accountable. Protect our democracy.
