I urge you to co-sponsor the Black Maternal Health Momnibus Act of 2023 (S.1606). This legislation addresses the urgent maternal health crisis by advancing policies to reduce racial disparities in maternal mortality, improve healthcare access, and invest in community-based care models. It also focuses on addressing social determinants of health, funding critical research, and providing mental health and substance use disorder services. Supporting this bill would be a significant step in ensuring all mothers, especially Black women, receive equitable and comprehensive maternal care.
