Please disclose the terms of the TikTok Fee described publicly by the administration and in the New York Times article dated 03/13/2025 “TikTok Investors Set to Pay $10 Billion Fee to Trump Administration.” How did this fee come to be? Is it documented? How does it economically make sense when the value of TikTok was stated as just $14B? This raises huge concerns for a variety of reasons. Our leaders should be focused on stability, American growth and prosperity, and geopolitical leadership. Our leaders should protect us from nefarious actors and protect the consumer. The math mentioned above would indicate there is some other value being ascribed to the TikTok transaction. What is that value? Is it political favors? Media influence? Data mining on the American public? Censorship and other alterations to free speech? Tech companies have already proven to be spineless, caving to and becoming instruments of the current administration. American democracy dies and dictatorships grow with actions like this. We want transparency now. The deal, as reported, does not make sense. That is a red flag.
