I'm a member of Indivisible Westside Los Angeles. I'm writing to ask that you support Sen. Warren’s reintroduced bill, the Stop Wall St. Looting Act. Private equity profiteering has led to the demise of formerly successful businesses, exploitation of its employees, and – in the case of the healthcare industry – unnecessary deaths of patients. This bill will close loopholes and force private investment firms to take responsibility for the outcomes of companies they take over, empowering workers and protecting investors, and even saving lives.
