Reconsider Gabbard's Nomination as Director of National Intelligence
To: Sen. Butler, Sen. Padilla
From: A constituent in Redondo Beach, CA
November 21
There are significant concerns regarding Tulsi Gabbard's nomination as Director of National Intelligence. Her ties to Hindu nationalist groups, support for authoritarian leaders like Bashar al-Assad and Vladimir Putin, and propagation of Kremlin talking points on issues like Ukraine raise serious questions about her ability to be an impartial guardian of America's intelligence agencies. Given her controversial stances that seem to align with the interests of adversarial nations, appointing Gabbard to oversee U.S. intelligence could jeopardize national security and compromise sensitive information sharing with allies. For the integrity of America's intelligence community, it would be prudent to reconsider this nomination.
