You have the power to safeguard SNAP

To: Rep. Van Duyne, Sen. Cruz, Sen. Cornyn

From: A constituent in Dallas, TX

October 28

I'm writing to ask you to demand this Republican administration use USDA contingency funds to keep SNAP benefits flowing to the 3.74 million vulnerable Texans who currently receive those benefits. Starving people to score political points is cruel and causes needless suffering. Doing so with Thanksgiving so close is horrific SNAP is a lifeline for many Texans, including children, seniors, and working families struggling to make ends meet. Any interruption in these benefits could have devastating consequences, forcing families to choose between food and other essential needs like housing or healthcare. Immediate action must be taken to ensure vulnerable Texans do not lose access to this critical nutrition assistance program. You have the power to safeguard SNAP benefits and prevent a potential hunger crisis in our state. Please prioritize this issue and demonstrate Texas’ commitment to supporting its citizens during this challenging time.
