The United States must act decisively to support Ukraine before the transition of power to a new administration. With Russia making rapid territorial gains and mobilizing troops from North Korea, Ukraine urgently needs increased military aid and access to long-range strike capabilities to target Russian forces. Additionally, seizing Russia's frozen assets within the U.S. and providing them directly to Ukraine would be a just measure to help fund its defense against the unprovoked invasion. These actions cannot be easily reversed by the next administration and would deliver a major blow to Russia's war effort. Failing to take bold steps now risks emboldening Russia further and jeopardizing Ukraine's ability to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity. The window to meaningfully assist Ukraine is rapidly closing.
