Oppose H.R. 899

To: Sen. Scott, Rep. Mills, Sen. Moody

From: A verified voter in Casselberry, FL

March 4

I am a voting constituent and I am asking you to OPPOSE H.R. 899: to terminate the department of education. The federal department of education protects funding and access for underserved students in all states. Dismantling the federal department of education would have a direct and negative impact on my family, some of whom are teachers, and some of whom attend public school. I want to protect my aunt who has been a public school teacher for decades. Keeping and funding the federal department of education will help us collect national data and pay attention to key issues across states. I thought you wanted no child left behind. Dismantling the department of education leaves every child, every school district, and every school official behind. Teachers like my aunt, retired teachers like my mother, retired bus drivers like my father, current students like my nephew and cousins. Don't leave them behind. Oppose H.R. 899.
