No Rigged Metrics: Protect the Integrity of the 2030 Census

To: Rep. Ciscomani, Sen. Gallego, Sen. Kelly

From: A verified voter in Tucson, AZ

October 23

To My Members of Congress: I am writing to demand that you publicly condemn the Census Bureau’s proposed changes to the 2030 U.S. Census. In my opinion, this administration's proposal is not only unconstitutional, but actively anti-constitutional. The 14th Amendment explicitly mandates an "actual Enumeration" of the "whole number of persons in each State." It does not specify citizens or voters; it says *persons*. Excluding any immigrant populations from the count is a direct violation of this foundational directive. Furthermore, these changes run entirely counter to standard quality control methodology. Any functional system relies on one absolute requirement: uncorrupted raw data. Eliminating long-standing demographic questions regarding race, ethnicity, and sexual orientation—alongside altering how transient populations are tracked—intentionally introduces fatal errors into our national baseline. Politicians and policymakers can debate policy and make political decisions after the fact, but the raw data collection process must remain strictly objective and uncorrupted by partisan agendas. Blinding our communities to their actual demographics does not erase the needs of our residents; it simply ensures systemic failure in how we fund public schools, health care, and vital infrastructure. We cannot base our nation's future on rigged metrics. I expect you to uphold your oath to the Constitution and publicly oppose these methodology changes immediately. Sincerely,
