REJECT Emil Bove’s nomination as federal judge. Bove currently serves as the United States Principal Associate Deputy Attorney General, and was Acting Deputy Attorney General during the first months of the new Trump administration. In that role, he allegedly told rank-and-file prosecutors at the Department of Justice to consider saying “F- - - you” to court orders against them. As you know, on July 15, more than 75 former state and federal judges wrote a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee opposing Bove’s confirmation as a federal judge, writing, “Mr. Bove’s egregious record of mistreating law enforcement officers, abusing power, and disregarding the law itself disqualifies him for this position.” A similar letter was sent by 900 former DOJ attorneys on July 16, urging the Senate Judiciary Committee to deny Bove a federal judgeship. “It is intolerable to us that anyone who disgraces the Justice Department would be promoted to one of the highest courts in the land, as it should be intolerable to anyone committed to maintaining our ordered system of justice.” Bove’s history shows a clear disrespect for the American judicial branch, and he should not be approved for the Third Circuit. Vote NO on Bove’s appointment to this life-tenure position.
