I am a constituent from Santa Fe, a former high school teacher, and the daughter of a Vietnam Veteran echoing the urgent call to bring Congress back to session immediately. We are facing a constitutional crisis where the President is threatening unauthorized military action and potential war crimes without Congressional approval. As a relative of current active-duty service members and the grandchild of a post-WWII veteran, I refuse to sit by while the Executive branch bypasses the War Powers Resolution. I am calling on you to use every tool available—including the 25th Amendment, Impeachment, and War Powers Resolutions—to stop this unauthorized escalation. As an educator, I know history will judge those who fail to uphold our system of checks and balances during this "all hands on deck" moment. Please pressure leadership to reconvene the House and Senate immediately to address the President’s fitness and protect our Republic.
