I strongly encourage you to do everything in your power to resist Donald Trump's nominees for important cabinet positions. It seems like every cabinet position is about to be weaponized as a political tool to threaten, retaliate, or punish any political opponent of the Trump Administration. Please encourage your fellow Congresspeople to remember their oaths to uphold the Constitution. The Trump Administration is going to try and push through as much as they can, leaving those opposed scrambling to pick up the pieces. We can't let them shoot first and ask for forgiveness later. Stem the tide from the source. Be proactive and aggressive with legislation that appeals to moderate Republicans and counters Trump's toxicity. I'm grateful to live in California and be insulated from the majority of what's happening as a result, but I've never been more scared for the future. Please think of me and the millions who feel the same when you are in session.
